ToxServices is also accredited by the ZDHC to verify conformance with ZDHC MRSL Levels 2 and 3 requirements.
Level 2 Conformance includes:

A ToxFMD® Level 2 assessment is designed to verify through an on-site audit, that systems are in place to minimize the release of hazardous chemicals to environment (air, water, soil), that health and safety practices are in place to protect workers, and that formulators have in place programs to manage raw material suppliers, including assessing raw material vendors for quality and chemical management systems. Prior to undertaking a ToxFMD® Level 2 assessment, ToxServices will verify that the client is currently conformant with ZDHC Level 1 requirements. Clients may also be in the process of going through the ToxFMD® Level 1 conformance process and undertake a ToxFMD® Level 2 conformance evaluation in parallel. Ideally, the ToxFMD® Level 1 conformance assessment should be performed by ToxServices under the ToxFMD® Screened Chemistry Program; however, it is not a requirement for a client to receive a ToxFMD® Level 2 Certificate.
Level 3 Conformance includes:

A ToxFMD® Level 3 evaluation encompasses the assessment of a Level 1 and Level 2 evaluation, along with evaluation of the client’s expertise in Chemical Hazard Assessment (CHA) and chemical optimization. A Level 3 company must have in-house or subcontracted expertise in the assessment and interpretation of environmental, human health, and physical hazard-related data to ensure adequate classification and labelling of a company’s formulations. Such classifications should adhere to the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals.

Ideally, the ToxFMD® Level 1 and 2 conformance assessment should be performed by ToxServices under the ToxFMD® Screened Chemistry Program; however, it is not a requirement for a client to receive a ToxFMD® Level 3 Certificate.
